What we’re working toward

We are working toward the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 at level AA, the widely used standard for accessible websites. We have not finished that work, and this page lists the gaps we know about.

What we test

On the home page and the services, automations, who we help, SaifHaven OS, how we work and contact pages, in all five styles, at desktop and phone widths, before each release:

• Automated accessibility checks (axe).
• Keyboard use: every link, button, the style switcher and every form field can be reached and used with the keyboard, with a visible focus ring.
• No sideways scrolling on a screen 320 pixels wide.
• With “reduce motion” turned on in your device settings, the page does not animate.
• Form errors are shown next to the field, and focus moves to the first problem.

This page, the privacy policy and the photo credits get the same automated and keyboard checks.

Known gaps

• We have not yet tested the site with screen readers (such as VoiceOver, NVDA or TalkBack), at 400% zoom, or in Windows high-contrast mode.
• The industry links on the home page change the page’s style with JavaScript. Without JavaScript the page stays in its default style.
• The sample documents on the home page (audit statement, estimate sheet, ticket, certificate) are designed to look like paper. Their text can be read, but the layout carries meaning a screen reader can’t convey.
• The UnSnag product preview page is separate from the rest of the site and has not been checked.
