How customers here look for you.
Homeowners search for the town they live in, then check whether the company is real.
A license number they can check
Illinois licenses roofing contractors through the IDFPR, and anyone can look a license up on the state’s site. Illinois also asks licensed roofers to show the license number and the name on the license in their advertising and on their bids. We put both in the footer of every page and on the estimate request, where homeowners look for them.
Belvidere, not “Northern Illinois”
People type the town: a roofer in Belvidere, furnace repair in Machesney Park, a brewery in Rockford. We build a page for each town you actually cover, with your own jobs and photos from there, instead of one page that lists every town.
Both sides of the state line
If you also take work across the line in Wisconsin, the rules change with it: Wisconsin asks the contractor who applies for the building permit on a one- or two-family home to hold a dwelling contractor credential from the state. We keep your Illinois and Wisconsin pages apart, so each one shows what applies there.
The seasons that fill the phone.
Here, demand for the trades follows the weather: storms from spring into fall, then a long, cold winter.
Storm season, April through September
The National Weather Service office for Northern Illinois puts severe weather from April through September, with damaging hail most frequent in May and June and damaging wind in June and July. We keep a storm page ready to switch on: what to do first, the inspections you’re offering, and a request form, with messages you approve.
Winter: no heat, ice and snow
Rockford’s normal winter, December through February, averages below freezing. For heating and plumbing, a no-heat request that goes to the top of the list and a text back for every call you miss. For roofers, leak and ice-dam pages that are live before the first thaw.
Restaurants and breweries: how diners choose.
People pick where to eat from what they can read on a phone: the Google listing, the map, the menu and the hours.
Hours that change with the season
Patios, beer gardens and taproom hours shift between summer and winter. Google lets you set special hours for holidays and events and separate hours for things like takeout. We keep those, your site and your other listings saying the same thing.
Release nights people can find
Release nights, live music and private events listed on your own site as well as on social, so people who don’t follow you yet can find them.
A menu written as text
A menu on a web page, not only a photo or a PDF, so phones, search engines and AI assistants can read it.
What we’d set up first.
- A page for each town you cover, from Rockford to Freeport, with your own photos from jobs there.
- Roofers: your Illinois license number and the name on it in the footer and on every estimate request.
- A storm page ready for hail season, and a no-heat request for winter, with messages you approve.
- Restaurants and breweries: seasonal hours, menus and release nights kept the same on your site and Google.
Questions, answered.
Do you work with businesses in Rockford and Belvidere?
Yes. We work remotely with home and trade businesses, restaurants and breweries across Rockford and the Stateline, including Rockford, Belvidere, Loves Park, Machesney Park, Roscoe, Rockton, Poplar Grove and Freeport. Start with the free audit: we look at how you show up in the towns you actually cover.
Can you put my Illinois roofing license on my website?
Yes. Illinois asks licensed roofers to include the license number and the name on the license in their advertising, so we put both where homeowners look: the footer, the estimate request and every quote page. For anything beyond that, check with the IDFPR.
I also work in Wisconsin. Can my site cover both?
Yes. We build separate pages for your Illinois and Wisconsin towns, each with the credentials that apply in that state, so neither page mixes up the two.
